Redneckstone: any idea how much a Con-Ferr rack like that would cost?
its cheddar baby: basically the same question...how much will they run if you do start carrying them?
thanks for the help guys. I'm tempted to just draw up some plans myself and have my buddy bend it/weld it in his shop. I guess the only problem then would be how to mount it to the roof. Any suggestions?

leftofedge has holes all the way through his headliner.
mine bolts in 4 places to the roof.
the next ranger i have, will have 4 doors, so i am going to have it all mount within the gutters, like the kc lightbar does...
i love roofracks. you don't think you would use it much, but if you haul anything in the bed, like a 4wheeler, it comes in handy alot.

I wish I had 4 doors, but alas, only two.
I'll check the fab forum, and I may also check around town at the local metal shops. In fact, my buddy sitting beside me just said there is a custom automotive fab shop across the river. I'll try there too.
I'll be sure to update on what I figure out.
Thanks everyone.
Oh yeah, Trevelyn....you wouldnt happen to have any pics of your rack close up would you? Like how it mounts, stuff like that? Maybe even a design schematic type thing? LOL, thanks.

The holes I have in my roof don't come through the headliner. The con-ferr mounts have a rubber anchor/grommet type deal that lock the rack on and also gives you the option to sink a deeper screw and use a washer/nut set up on the sub roof right above the headliner. Since the grommet is rubber it works great as a seal to the elements, no leaks yet (crosses fingers). I also have a nice giant hole drilled with my kc light wiring coming out, even though the kc lights no longer reside up there. The interior ceiling in my truck still looks stock, well besides the ohc and dome lamp. I think you can order direct from con-ferr. I might be mistaken though.
