Removed fender flares on my 08, what are these metal rivets up from??
*EDIT: I have no idea how my title ended up reading "what are these metal rivets up from??". I saw it after I posted and can't make sense of what I said or what it means? My only excuse is that it's 2a.m. and I'm sick and had a long work week and a hangover from last night. How embarrassing
So, as the title says, I removed the flares from my 08 tonight, all just plastic snap rivet things and plugs etc that just had to be pulled out, snapped off etc etc. However, on the front fenders on the black side of the wheel well, about 6" from the bottom of the truck one of the holes was filled with some sort of metal rivet or something? If no one has seen it before I'll have pics sometime tomorrow. I couldn't quite tell what it was... had a a smooth curved head, the shank seemed to have ridges, possibly threads, but doesn't seem likely.. and I managed to squeeze a finger or two in behind the fender by opening the door and it felt like there was a plastic surround on the inside, as well as on the headside of the fender surrounding the head of this thing.. How do I get it off? Thanks for the help. I'll have pics of the finished result of my flareless fenders tomorrow.

prob some "washer" to keep the paint from being chipped hell if i know nothing i have heard of before.
nothing like 4 fenders with a mess full of holes in them just to be "flareless" looks better with the flares anywho. I'll take them if you dont want them... only a 4 hour drive on the 402/401
