I have duals but i dont usually use my cb it is mostly for looks and some entertainment listening to truckers.

thats the same one i have. you know that you don't need that spring right and youll get out further without it?

alright so i think i'm gunna do dual 3' firesticks one functional the other for looks. I'm looking at mounting them to my low-pro toolbox at the outer edges of the inside of the bed

what do ya'll think?

i cant seem to find any pics of when i had douls but i mounted them to the front of the bed and it turned out pretty clean. the only thing is you need to unbolt the bed and slide it back to get your hand in there.

found it let's hope this works...

and shane that twin sticks set up is sick on your truck!

I didn't have a spring before and I broke it off. If i wasn't in the trails ALL the time I probably would have left the spring off. So needing a spring or not really depends on where you drive. Sometimes I hit trails at 40+ and the whip really doesn't like the trees when I do that.

So Let me ask this question about the antenna's if you have a 4 foot stick mounted on the rear bumper and say the top of the cab was 2 feet higher then the bumper and lets say you mounted a 2 foot fire stick would they get the same reception? i guess what im asking is im about to put a cb on my ranger and my FJ and if i mounted the antennae on the roof rack of my FJ would i get better reception or the same if i mounted it on the bumper?
