Painting Faded Grill
Well, paid off the Ranger a while back, and thought that, as my first mod, I would paint the grill because it was a little faded. I had no idea as to just how faded it was until I took that sucker off!
Here it is, still on the truck:
and here's a close-up after I removed the Ford emblem. Really shows how faded it is:
so I go it cleaned up, and picked up some paint. Hope to get to it this weekend.

What paint did you get? I painted mine about a week ago. I used Krylon Fusion Satin Black. Put on a few coats let it set for an hour and put it back on. Its holding up great and its already been through a few car washes.

OK, got it painted today. Used both cans of the Krylon. I think it turned out pretty good (especially for my first attempt at using spray paint). I got a little heavy handed a couple of places, but overall it turned out really good.
Here it is after a couple of coats:
And here it is after I finished.
I'll let it dry for a bit, get my lights wired, then get it back on and post some more photos.

I put mine on about an hour after I painted it and mine still looks like I just painted it.

Got the lights wired up and aimed last night, then got the grill back on. Couldn't tell much in the dark, so I had to wait until this morning to take a good look at it. Looks pretty good so far, but I'll have to wait until the sun burns the fog off to get a really good look at it.
Here's a couple of crappy pics I took with my phone when I got to work this morning:
