Mazda Door

Hey guys, I am making this thread for Jake (LordofWar) because he is out making flow and wanted to get some responses for when he gets off work. Anyway, he found a door off a Mazda...not sure the year...for 100 bucks. He wants to know if the Mazda doors have the same body lines as his 02 Ranger, and if the door will fit.

Thanks James,

Does anyone know if a Mazda door will fit my 02. I just want to make sure that they have the same body line and that my door trim is interchangeable.

Thanks

For $100 I would just go to a yard and get one for a ranger. They are always about $100.

It will...but i do believe you'd have those nasty black crap between the windows and you'd have the chrome molding around that nasty black crap. I vote no unless paint is needed to match, so you can fill those holes.

Regardless it will be painted to match but rangers around here are so hard to find it may be worth it to pick it up

Well I have called about 25 junkyards and I have found a few doors that I can get anywhere between $100-$200.

I then started to call alot of autobody shops and they are quoting me like $500 to paint the door because they have to blend it etc...

That is ****ing expensive. I think when I decided to get it fixed I am just going to pay the $500 deductible and have a shop do the entire thing.....

The whole thing pisses me off. I thought I was goingt to be able to find a foor for under $200 and then get it painted for $200 and save a little money.

Well, I took off the door panel and played with the dents a little. I made some progress but no where near perfect.

I say you just go and fill it with Bondo then shoot some holes in the side and make it a redneck truck, your truck will never be as clean as mine only in your dreams Jake. but if you want a new door we will keep looking and maybe find something we can paint that piece man its not that hard

Ory, bondo is for *****es. If I am going to do it I am going to do it right.

The comment about you having a so called "trophy worthy truck" made me chuckle. Your truck is a piece of crap. You can polish a piece of **** but in the end its a piece of ****.

That would look stupid as hell having 2 different doors.

^^ Its pretty obvious that Lord of War is not looking to make his truck look FUBAR, which IMO would happen with 1 Mazda door and 1 Ford door.

oh and they are both FORD doors .... pop the hood of any 94+ b-series and it says manufactured by ford motor co. for mazda motor co.

It is pretty clear from what Lord of War has said that he wants to do this door project right, so your comment about one door only being visible at one time when they look different around the trim goes against what he is looking to do. Hence why in the original post the question of if the door would have the same body line as the Ranger door was brought up.
I didnt know that I had to grow up because I was giving my opinion?! I happen to agree with 04BlackEdge in that having 2 different doors would look FUBAR like I posted. My bad for speaking my mind

Look at your door compared to a Ranger door Melt, the molding is nothing alike. Even painted you'll be able to tell. It would look stupid, just like Mazdas in general
