Line-x rocker panels
Ive been thinking about putting line-x on my rocker panels to protect them from rock chips. Just wondering if anyone on here has done this or has seen a truck with it done. I dunno how black would look, so Im thinking about mabye doing a gunmetal/gray color like the new FX4 2 tone paint...Any input is appreciated.

If someone with photoshop could do my truck with black and/or gray (the FX4 2 tone color) rockers, that would be awesome!

Well, to get line-x you have to have a shop do it. Theres other stuff that you do yourself, but its not as good as line-x. Ive seen the stuff you can buy at any autoparts store and its not as hard as line x, it peels off easier, and it doesnt look as good (looks more like cottage cheese)

You can get the kits off of e-bay for pretty cheap, I am pretty sure, and it's real easy if you prep it correctly (IE: covering what you don't want lined, and I'm sure some actual prep work).

Well, I use the duplicolor bedliner spray. I used it for my fender flares and valence (they were at one time blue). I was just saying, I've seen trucks use duplicolor on the side before, and it held up alright. The bad thing about linex or any spray on (even duplicolor) is that it is a PITA to get clean. If you get dirt on it (which thats the first place that gets dirty) you almost have to like scrub it. It also fades. So keep that in mind when you want to do it.
I'm redoing my flares after a year, they are faded horribly and peeling. Thats why I'm asking about the sides, my truck is torn apart right now :)

If you were closer to the San fernando valley i would show you the guy that did my bed liner. Hi-Tech liners, it was 100$ cheaper than line-x and it still shiny black, over a year later, and i haul stuff everyday.
