LED Third Brake Light??

I need to replace my third brake light and I'm looking into the LED ones but I didn't know if they required any special wiring or where to look for them.

I make them in all red & cargo light versions. Much brighter & more vivid than stock.

Depending on what options you want, wiring can be as simple as plugging in the connector or as difficult as tapping into your turn signals & reverse lights.

I use OEM 3rdBL's and completely refurbish them, from sanding & buffing the outside to removing the back side to install the led's. I've even had guys spray on some night-shades to give them a little tint & the led's still shine through nicely.

Drop me a PM if you think you'd be interested.

OR you could check out ebay. I think they have some up there. Not sure if its what you need or not.

I've got one of the Putco ones--I'm pretty happy with it. I got one with the cargo lamps and modded the wiring harness so they come on with my dome light.

How did you do that? If i dont have cargo lights now is there a way to buy the one with cargo lights and wire it up? Also would I need the load resistor kit?

When I cot my LED one, I had already modded the wiring harness for a 3rd BL with the cargos ('04 and newer have all red 3rd BL). If your truck is an '02, you're probably already set-up. If not, snag a harness and pigtail from a junkyard. It's a pretty simple mod to do.

You won't need a load resistor because it's not a flasher.
