Headlight Mod Complete (Pics)

We had a nice sunny day sunday so i decided to give the headlight mod a go.
I heated the lamps in the oven on 225 degrees for approx. 8-10 min. then they came right apart no problem. I taped them off very carefully using very light adhesion tape( this is important because the chrome scratches easy and the tape will peal it right off-- mine had a few minor spots but nothing noticable) I used 1 coat of primer and 3 coats of gloss black krylon fusion plastic paint. It stuck very well and went on super smooth.

All in all, I am very pleased with how they turned out and think this is a great mod to do. Let me know what you guys think.

I tried to do the aftermarket corners but the plastic starts to curl up before the glue is anywhere near ready to let go so i quit before i messed something up. I plan on getting black corners tho unless many people believe those look ok the way they are.

not bad looks good but i would at least nightshade the edges of the corners or somethin
i have to redo one of my headlights cuz i put them on to soon and there is now a film from the glue on the inside of the lense, really pisses me off

i plan on getting black corners.

The chrome paint on there stock is very very thin. It will peal with the slightest scratch or some strong adhesion tape will peal it right off when you remove the tape. This is a mod that you must take your time on in order for it to turn out good. also my lens are a little weathered. I cleaned them up as best as i could before i reinstalled them. I think they turned out great tho overall

Looks good.

FYI there is a Mirror (Chrome) turn signal/parking light/flasher bulb available that looks just like your headlight when not illuminated,
but it is amber when it lights up. Would really set those clears off good and I am surprised I have not seen it mentioned anywhere before........

Chrome Bulb #3157 (amber) available from ns-fx.com

it takes no time to resize them, just goto options, and select a smaller size, its not rocket science
