The Grill - New Lettering !

Looking at three way to go with the new Grill Lettering.

I was searching eBay for ideas for the lettering on my new black 1/4" tube grill !

I ran across two ways I an considering and one I already have. Although I never looked at them before I ran across a large Ford Oval, 9 x 3 inches, with a camo US Flag in the background and RED FORD Script with a thin RED line Oval around the edge, it would easily fit the '03 grill opening and balance out ok (I think) BUT IT IS BIG ! Then there was the T6 Raptor Lettering, I don't know the size of the letters yet, I am e-mailing to find out, I am thinking they may need to be mounted closer together than on the T6 and maybe too high but right now they are still an option. Also, I can use the Early Bronco RED Lettering that I used on my OEM Grill, looked ok but something new would be nice !

I am looking for something different, not the same lettering, OVALs, something that will stand out but still look good !

So that is where I stand, three options, maybe I need a poll ? Not even sure how to do that... or you guys and Ladies can just post up some ideas !

Thanks for reading and make a comment !

There it is, the next generation Scrambler Grille... !

I was thinking some aluminum strips on either side of the letters, maybe a strip all the way across the Grille, for sort of a center bar and a little more spacing between the letters !

That is beautiful! I'm going Billet grill pretty soon as well but that lettering just makes it pop, is that custom?

Yup, all the way !

I had a designer take the Ranger Font and mod it some, then contact the Shop to get them cut... as I was told by the designer, she is the Project Coordinator, she will handle it !

If I were to do it again, I would go a little larger lettering... 4" maybe 4.25", and space the lettering a little further apart !
BUT, all in all, I am happy with the look.

The Square Tube Grille is a S/S after market unit via eBay, some of their stuff works out for the best.

p.s. Did I mention the designer is my daughter.

That is awesome, its honestly something I wouldn't be surprised to see a company selling. This is the way a lot of the newer grills are on the ford f-150's and raptors but seems like you took more of a retro type font, I love that! Thats great as well to have people in the family that can help with that kind of thing, I bet it brings pride to both you and your daughter.

Hey,
Thanks, I took the Raptor idea and tried to fit FORD as a full width Logo but I didn't like it so I shortened it down some.
The Font is the Ranger Font, modified a little but it retains the Ranger look.

Still waiting to try some aluminum strip on either side... will see.

Can't wait to see how it looks with that aluminum, you said you bought the billet grill off of ebay.. What kind was it? I definitely want the billet look when I put halos on my ranger and I'm looking for the best one.
Thanks,
Tom

Looks good I agree a center bars on each side would really make it pop. I did one myself I believe it came out pretty good.

DesertDangerRanger, looks good !

Not sure if I am a fan of the corners being cut off, but that's just me... !

My Graphic Designer, i.e. daughter, suggested a little larger lettering for my RED Letters, not sure but thinking on it.

Then I can add the strip of metal, aluminum is available for the strip, but thinking more on it... stainless steel comes to mind, I will have to look at the local recycling station, they have scrapes laying around.

You have any more pictures, a little further away ?

Thx for posting !

Got some new Templets for larger letters, still paper but I want to see them in place.

Still thinking about the strip behind/around the lettering, but checking Salvage Yards for strips of S/S instead of aluminum.

Tom,
I am sorry I didn't reply to you... from WAY back, I completely forgot to get back to you.

I never did find any paperwork, I looked on both eBay and Arizona, I couldn't find the grille but I will check again for my own sake but if you still want the info let me know.
