Explorer sunroof in a ranger

Has anyone else done this with one of the poop up sun roofs out of an early exploder? I miss having a sunroof i really like having one but i don't have one in the focus like i did in the probe and i have always wanted one in the truck.

Could this work?

I wanna say Brenton(edge_wannabe) and Evan(highrollerII) both did a moonroof in their trucks.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO never never...

sorry Rangers only have ONE roof support beam that runs straight down the center. when a sunroof/moonroof/ragtop is added that beam is removed now the roof is very very weak. seen a few accident photo's with ranger that have been in accidents with them over the years the cabs buckle like a pop can under a tire.. no thanks..

You want a sunroof buy a car, F150 Supercrew or a Chevy. I wouldn't put one ever on my Ranger. Hell you can push the roof down like nothing as it is.

yeah i thought some of the 93-97s had them stock i remember seeing pictures of them some place if someone could get some pics that would be sweet. If i would in stall one i would be adding more roof support i know they don't have much support as they are now.

There never was a ranger EVER from the factory with a moon/sunroof.. if one was bought new it was a Dealer add on before it was sold. Our dealer used to installed them all the time in the summer on vehicles that didnt have any.

but rangers never had as an option for one to be ordered as such..

you could build a custom support bracket, instead of just one big beam make 2 beams alongside the sunroof...
