Is there any particular paint to use such as gloss, non gloss, high temp?

I used satin black bumper paint (very low gloss, almost flat). The choice of gloss and color are personal preference but something formulated for plastics would be a good bet. Be sure to use masking tape with a very light release. It is very easy for the tape to pull the "chrome" from the reflectors and their rims during removal.

When you do yours be sure to post pics. I too want to do the mod but am not sure how I'd like it. I dont want it to look like my truck has two black eyes!

Yeah I thought about that too and still might if I f these up but there is not much to do where I live and I am always lookin for a project so what the hell I will give it a shot and if I decide I dont like it or looks like my truck has black eyes like mentioned above then I saw some stock headlights on there for like 39 bucks. Plus if they turn out ok and i like them; then I saved a 100 to 150 bucks which will go towards tires.

I used the same steps that are in the headlight mod to do my 06 OE corners. Just go slow and easy. Be extra careful if you are doing aftermarket clears because they are easier to crack or melt. It has been successfully done by a few owners but there have also been many who have had problems.
