I did it too :)

I don't like the ranger screaming on the highway at 3200rpms while I'm towing a trailer...I like it nice and quiet :)

Wish mine sounded good. Can't get anything out of the 4 banger except for a whine.

Borla Pro XS is the way to got if you still want a little sound, but not loud on the highway. Mire tires are louder then my exhaust at highway speeds.

Looks much better too, no more redneck exhaust lol.

I don't like my exhaust either, I'll probably just wind up putting a turndown on mine tho.

A normally aspirated I4 yes, turbo no.

I wonder if it would be possible to make or buy a stainless exhaust with less sound than stock. I spent 400$ on sound deadener to quiet the thing down, yet I'd like to eliminate the rear converter and work with my front 2 converters only. The main reason I would like the thick stainless is durability, and quality. If I cant have it as quiet or quieter than stock then I'll just keep it stock.

I've got a Cherry Bomb glass pack on my truck with the stock tail pipe, and it sounds really nice, and it's VERY quiet. Even more quiet then my stock muffler (then again, my stock muffler was the stock muffler from 92.....with holes all over, LOL!).

The only time it is loud is at about 3000 RPMs, and even then, it's not as loud as the stock at 1500 RPMs.

You should have kept the dual exhaust look and put the stock muffler in. I liked the dual exhaust look on your truck.

Agreed. I love the sound of this borla muffler. Nice sound under throttle, smooth quiet tone on the freeway.

See I miss the loudness that I had with my 69 truck. Can't get anything worth while out of the 4 banger.

I love my exhaust on my truck. I would never take it back to stock. If I wanted to go more quiet I would swap in a gibson muffler.
