After exhaustive searching, I found them. Roadsport Profit Model #8. Available at multiple sources on the net. They fit over the front rock guard(no need to remove). I used factory screw and 2 additional screws on each side. I put 1 screw lower into rock guard and 1 screw higher into fenderwell lip in addition to the factory screw. 3 screws for each mudflap. I recommend 2 people for aligning flaps.These particular mud flaps are the best fitting that I have seen. They do look similar to factory rear flaps, so you only need to buy front set. This was a driving motivator for to join this forum. Hopefully this will help any other 2010 owners.

 

I usually go out and look at my vehicle before posting questions but it's raining cats & dogs at the moment.
Ford has mud flap brackets in their parts bin so I want to see what's original first.
1) I gotta see if my '05 has those "front rock guards".
2) Do you think the flaps you found would fit all years of the 3rd generation (1998-2011)?

 

Those brackets are probably for rear only. The mudflaps I bought come in a number of models. They probably have a model for your truck. Check with seller to make sure.
