yes you have to add clear coat BUT you have to wet sand and maybe reclear with more sanding to get it right

Did you use clearcoat after the niteshades? I bet if you clear them, they would look glossier (is that a word?)...

holy old post batman

I cleared mine..but there kinda turning white.i dunno but i took some 900 grit sandpaper..wet sanded them and it came right off and theres still clear on em...

they look nice man. i did four coats one real lite and three thick coats and mine are very black cherry. i think you forgot to gloss them over though. maybe you like the matte finish?
