Vacuum hub swap to manual

Vacuum hub swap to manual
2000 ranger 4.0
I have the sorry excuse of a sorry excuse, the mother of all disappointments, even a loving Christian father would rather find out his own daughter was a stripper at the dingiest tittie bar in the county than having his somewhat decent truck corrupted by these stupid things.
I just replaced cv axle and did tie rods and upper and lower ball joints because I smoked everything trying to dukes of hazard my shitbox ranger. Now she shakes worse than Michael j Fox if he had epilepsy and watched a strobe light for 2 hours.
not sure if it means anything but I just finished a 4.0 swap from my previous 3.0.
I'm going straight to replacing the whole wheel bearing hub aassembly on both sides And switching to manual lockers.
Since I believe the wheelbearing on only one side is damaged I may just replace 1 assembly unless I need to do 2.
Ive noticed on rock auto they have multiple options for wheel bearing hub assembly either with or w/o pulse vacuum lock hubs.
if I have vacuum lock hubs can I just replace them straight across to the manual ones or would they not be compatible?
Do I have to switch the wheelbearing/hub?
Also either way what should I do with the vacuum lines?
It seems to me I can keep my stock bearing and hub assembly and appearantly find some sort of a plug to put in there?
just wanted to make sure it will work if I buy regular 4x4 hub/bearing assembly instead a pulse vacuum lock as those are generally more expensive.
Also does the hub/bearing assembly, do the bearings come already pressed in or do I have to do them myself?
thanks.

Welcome to the forum
1998 to 2000 Ranger 4x4s did use PVH(pulse vacuum) hubs
AVM makes manual hub conversions for these years, also sold under the name Mile Marker and Rugged Ridge
No extra changes are needed, PVH hubs are removed and the manual hubs are installed
Article seen here on that conversion: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...hub_swap.shtml
Article on 1998-2000 hub bearing replacement seen here: https://www.therangerstation.com/Mag..._bearing.shtml

PVH hubs look like this: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...-locking-hubs/
Manual hubs(1998-2000) look like this: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...ubattached.JPG
If you are talking about the wheel bearings then they are the same for either PVH or manual
Live axle, 2001 and up, Rangers don't have this type of hub, they look like this: https://www.therangerstation.com/Mag...l_hub/AVM1.JPG
Just a nut on the end of the axle, always locked, they use a different wheel bearing
Manual hubs(1998-2000) look like this: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...ubattached.JPG
