two bolt holes need for manual TC?
Apparently your tranny has to be predrilled to accept the linkage for a transfer case. Looks like mine doesn't. It looks like there are bosses (flat areas that are not drilled out). I'm wondering if these are the correct location to drill and tap. If no, is there another way to mount the TC?
Any help would be appreciated. A purchase is pending this info.
Speed sensor side:
The other side. Is this the side that needs holes? If so, are they in the location of the bosses where I can drill and tap them?

With the wrong tail housing, it'll still mount to it, you just wont have any way to engage 4wd without the bosses on the tailhousing for the bracketry..
I'm not 100% positive, I would suggest searching around in the Manual T-case threads. Check out their tailhousings that are correct.
I would be realy careful if those are the correct holes... It's only aluminum, and if you go too far, well, it won't be pretty....

He does NOT have the right tailhousing and it won't work for the swap. It will bolt up like I said, but no way to connect the linkage and secure it to the tailhousing.
PM Toreador4x4 about a tailhousing, I believe he has an extra and they're very hard to come by!
Thanks for posting those pics Grant! Finalized my advice! lol

No, no, and no. The ONLY tailhousing you can use came from the 02 or 03 trucks with manual transmissions AND manual T-case. You can use older tailhousings from the manual tranny but you won't have the OSS hole and therefore no speedo.
