Trans Temp Climbs Quickly...
#26
maybe sand got in the fins of the cooler?
are you running the stock fan?
this is one of the reasons i got a superior products shift correction package.
it has a trans temp thermo by-pass valve that allows fluid to flow through the cooler at all times. i have monitored the trans temp a few times with my matco scanner, and the highest temp it got to was 160.
i guess the only other reason for it heating up quicker now is maybe something happened internally. possible torque converter clutch or worn bands/clutches.

If you haven't ran an efan on the truck, then you shouldn't make statements like that. My Ranger's transmission never got hotter with the efan, it actually cooled it better.

I know mine flows extremely well with the line pulled. I do have an upgraded valve body and that shift kit along with another shift kit. so i am sure that is why it all flows.

heres a shot of my truck after running for 10 minutes at idle and 87 degrees outside temp with the a/c on.
the top number is the trans temp before the cooler, the bottom number is after the fluid flows through the cooler.
i'll post the other pic of after a quick run down the highway with the air on. it only got to 181 degrees. stupid comcast.
