Pinion Angle? n3elz?
i have explorer leafs and a chevy lowerring shackle on the rear of my 99, and i can tell im having problems with the pinion angle...
n3elz, i know you added shims to yours after installing the shackles, but how did you know what you needed? Would i need the same as you? or is there shops that will check it for me?
Any help would be great,
thanks guys

Is it ever that easy?
The springs probably didn't do much to your angle -- though it's not possible to say. Usually, they don't unless the axle mounting point is relocated.
The shackles generally give you about an inch of lift, and 2 degrees of error in your pinion angle. They force the nose UP some.
Putting in 2 degree correction shims with the thick part towards the FRONT of the truck, will correct for that.
However, other things could be going on. Measuring it is the only sure way to know.
I'm running without correction now because the cheap-@ss shims I bought cracked all to blazes.
