On a table, instead of in the axle. I got a used T-lok from a friend with a 5.0 mustang (he upgraded to 31 spline) and did the clutch kit on it. Its a little tricky but definitely not brain surgery. I'm going to trust one of the techs at my favorite Ford dealership (Velde Ford, Vero Beach FL) to actually install it for me, so that they can check the backlash and make sure everything is adjusted properly. (I talked it over with my dad, an old Ford tech turned Service manager turned Dealership VP, and he told me that I could no doubt get the diff in and working, but the odds were good that it may need minor adjustments that I wouldn't know how to measure, and that it could grenade ~5K miles down the road.)
I'm glad I wore some latex gloves, gear oil stinks!

Also TractionLoc.
Hey, very good! Well, I hope to have my FX4 8.8" in place with the Auburn ECTED, the bigger brakes and 31 spline axles by the time we hit Centralia. However, things can happen so who knows. Sure going to try though.
One word, Brian: Nitrile. Use nitrile work gloves and you'll never want latex on your hands again. I have blue nitrile gloves now that are much tougher than latex for the same thickness. I really like them.
