How much trans fluid after rebuild

just had my trans rebuilt, (2002 5R55E, 4x4)

and so far i have put 13.5 quarts of fluid in it to get it to the cross hatch

im curious what is going on, i didnt take off and reinstall my dipstick my helper did, that was about the only thing he did, but i would hate to have to much fluid in there

there is no slipping or anything, just wanna know b4 something happens

the owners manual for my 2004 4x4 says it only takes 10.3 quarts.

The 2002 and 2003 manuals say the same thing. Do not drive the truck if the fluid level is too high.

Cycle the shift lever through all positions with the engine idling. Then check the trans fluid level with the engine idling in park.

Fluid level in the crosshatched area is correct for a trans at normal operating temperature (150~170F). If the trans fluid is at shop temperature (50~95F), the correct level is between the two holes.

for me its not a question on how to check it, ive done that plenty of times

im just curious if its possible to put the tube in incorrectly, i mean **** youre off a half inch and thats like 2 quarts difference

also if different TC can use different fluid levels???, since i know they take up a lot of fluid
