electric t-case to manual t-case swap question(s)...
I got to thinking a couple of days ago, but never got to posting. I remember seeing somewhere, maybe a post by rwenzing, about the 4x4 module on the electric t-cases. So my question is, since I'll be swapping over to a manual t-case soon is there going to be any wiring needed assuming that the electric 4x4 module cues the lights on my cluster to say "4x4" or "4x4 lo"? I assume (there's that word again) that on vehicles with the manual t-case SOMETHING has to trigger the gauge cluster when shifting into 4 high or 4 low.

I wired my 4x4 lights up to work. It was very easy, I had to run 2 wires from the t-case to the cluster. I had to buy the pigtail that plugs into the t-case though and it was $28 bucks, the dealer didn't know what I was talkin about so I had to look through a book of 2-pin connectors and identify it. I'll see if I still have the pm from Bob tellin which pins to wire up behind the cluster.

Here you go.

Find connector C220a - it is the longest one at the cluster with spaces for 16 pins. Run one wire from pin 2 and one wire from pin 3 down to the switch, figure out which is which and you should be good to go. Just check to be sure that there is an orange/black in pin 5 of the same connector. It is the hot power feed for the two 4x4 bulbs and it should already be there because it also feeds a couple of other bulbs besides the 4x4 lights.

You have the receipt from the dealer or know off hand the part number for that pigtail?

I'm not sure if I have the receipt still or not its been a couple of months since I bought it. I'll look for it and if I find it I'll post up the part # on it(if its on there )
When I went to the dealer I'd never seen the connector before, I had only seen what was on the t-case side. I had no problem identifying it though.
