ABS engaging on Dry Pavement?

Right, i was told there are seperate sensors for ABS and the Vehicle Speed....Like, abs is reading one thing and the vehicle speed is another. So since the speedo is off, its saying im not traveling at any rate of speed, but the other sensor is reading i am traveling at 3 mph or w/e im going when the speedo says 0. Which is causing the abs issue when my speedo says 0....

why take the bulb out, just un-plug the module.
and the rear ABS sensor is also the speedo sensor there is no seperate sensor for the rear, whoever told you that dosent know what there talking about. the fronts however have there own sensors per wheel.
all 4 tires are the same size, so all 3 sensors should read the same wheel speed, unless something is wrong, but it cant be the wheels/tires because there all the same size and moving at the same speed.

Mark you have valid points I am not going to discount anything you have said. In my experience granted it has been all GM and Chrysler if there is an issue with one of the sensors you will get a code for that WSS. When I was talking to Mark about this he said it happened when he was turning, now its when he is going straight too lol. My thoughts were when making a right turn for instance, the left front wheels is going further inturn more speed and the left wheels have a shorter distance to go equalling less speed. Now this should all be taken into account in the ABS module but with the larger tires it may be out of the allowed tolerance. I agree that the only way that he will not sure is the monitor the data with a scan tool and come to conclusion that way. The tuner may help some but may not correct it. I cant say if its an issue with mine becuase I have had a tuner with 33s and 35s.

Have you check if theres rust between the sensor and the spindle? I dont know for ford but gm has a bulletin for a similar trouble which i cause by rust forming between the sensor and spindle i moves the sensor a little bit further from the abs wheel which cause a false lecture at low speed. I know its not a ford bulletin but all abs system work on the same principal so it could apply to your situation

Ever since i put my spindles on my abs light has been on. Also when im slowing down i feel the pulsation in the petal like a tire is out of round... Its not my rotors because i did my brakes not too long ago and all my tires are balanced. When i scanned it at work it says LF speed sensor. Since then i havent done anything but im planning on replacing the sensor. If this fixes my problem ill let you know because it sounds like we have the same issue.

The ac current produced by the sensor change depending on the speed of the ring and the distance from the ring thats the trouble for gm the sensor moves backward and sends less ac signal which means the wheel is turning slower. The slower the wheel the more the ac is out of phase. Had the same symptom on a blazer 02 and correct it by cleaning the rust form between the sensor and the spindle.

Thanks for the info, i have the ABS disabled for now until the programmer comes. I doubt it will fix my issue, but you never know. If the ABS is still engaging after the tuner with corrected speedo, then i have pretty much narrowed it down to the front ABS sensors. Either i need to replace, or clean them. Thanks for all the replies everyone, espically Mark. I'll let you guys know what happens in this thread after i get the speedo corrected...Thanks again.
