4x4 not working. 2008 XLT AT.
Good day,
Firstly I'm from Trinidad and Tobago, nice little island in the Caribbean.
Ranger is 2008 XLT right-hand drive, 4x4 automatic.
Problem is the 4x4 won't engage, not hearing any noise when I turned the ****, the 4x4 and 4L light on the dash is remaining on, the speedometer is not working properly and when I got the vehicle scanned it was saying that the 4L was on but it is not driving like if it is on. I recently purchased this van and the van drives good other than the problem listed.

Welcome to the North American Ranger forum
What you have is an Argentina made Ford Ranger, these were not allowed to be imported into US or Canada
So not sure how close they will be to the ones we know
If I had this issue I would first find the 4x4CM, it controls the 4x4 system, in our 2008 model this would be behind the radio
It looks like this: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/NboAA...Rnc/s-l300.jpg
This module controls the 4x4 lights and shift motor on the transfer case
And these were known to fail, our 2001-2011 models used them
