i can do $300 shipped via UPS Ground.......
That would include:
- 5R55E 4wd transmission (used with 98,000 miles)
- transmission mount
- shift cable
- 5R55E 4.0 OHV PCM
- torque converter (i would get a new one anyways while it is out, they are not that much)
- dust plate
- flywheel (which you shouldn't have to replace)
you also need to find out if the wiring harness is different for the 5R55E and the 4R55E transmissions.......

Ok, so, the entire engine bay harness is what you are talking about, I am assuming. That seriously blows! Ok, well, I would be assuming that everything on my 4.0 BUT the transmission would connect up to that harness right? Just want to make sure, because this is one hell of a deal!
Maurice, you wouldn't happen to have the entire harness too would you?

not exactly sure but depending on the plugs and pins you could make it work with your existing harness. remember you have one more gear that has to be delt with.
you may want to ask bob if he has any wiring diagrams for your truck and what you want to do.
WAIT
your truck is OBDI. his is OBDII
dont think any of this is gonna be easy.
maybe you should think about a rebuild.

Generally speaking, the 95~97 Rangers are very similar electrically. I'm guessing that swapping the 97 5R in place of the 96 4R is possible, assuming that the PCM and the engine/transmission harness are also swapped. I don't own a 96 Wiring Manual and there are only minor differences from 95 to 97.
