32s and tranny/gear codes... Overdrive light..what's the deal?

2003 Ranger Edge 2wd 3.0 140k miles

*Tranny code D (5r55e transmission)
*Gear ratio I believe is 4.10 (Code 97) if i recall.

So took the truck in to have the codes read, the following showed up:

P0442 (Evap Small Leak) - been there for a year, was told to ignore
B1602 - Possible anti-theft module received wrong format key code from transponder. (Probably fluke, just got alarm)

and:

P1780 (Transmission Control Switch Circuit Out of Range)
P0735 (Incorrect Gear 5 Ratio)

Have read these codes can mean a bunch of things, the above are the most common?

I have a 3.0 2wd Ranger Tremor (edge basically with updated sound pckg)

Transmission shifts just fine. Just got back from a 1200 mile trip to Arkansas. No problems until I came home and got a car wash (day after).

O/D light began to pulse until I turned off vehicle. Hasn't come on again since, driven it 3 times (Once home, another time to get codes read, and just dropped it off at Ford)

Any idea what I am in for?

I have had wheels with bigger overall diameter on many Fords and never gotten the gear ratio issue, could that be a different problem also? Sometimes codes mean multiple things? My 2003 explorer has nearly 33" overall diameter and never seen this code or anything like it in 3 years they've been on it.

Never seen any of you on here with this issue, I did do a search and unless I am stupid, (possible) this may be a fresh topic to an extent?

So: tires to blame?
Or tranny to blame?

If so, what is the fix either way? Recommendations?

Keep in mind transmission feels fine.. and I've toasted my fair share of Ford trannys: I know what a good tranny feels/sounds like and I pay attention probably more than anyone else.

I always baby this truck, except of course the trip to Arkansas because of the extensive hills.. But no problems for entire trip.

I started truck in AM, went through car wash immediately. BAM code.
Car-X said wires are covered fine, doesn't think car wash is related.

Tranny fluid replaced @ 128k miles. 140k now (8 months)

And because I know you all love pictures, HERE:

Update: Ford found codes, found nothing conclusive to repair, implied it may be a fluke and to keep an eye on it. Said it is unusual for this problem to go away and the light to stop flashing.

Said they could rip it apart and look for 1200-1500 but until I know I need to, I guess I will wait it out. The tires also seem to have nothing to do with this, except possibly a slight percentage of more strain on the drive train from drag and weight... but that's not what CAUSED the problem.

The code P1780 was obtained by not properly performing the KOER test. Disregard it.

Since the 5th gear on this transmission is "electronic" and not mechanical, they said it may not be a dire problem and to just monitor it. I may have a sensor going bad as well.

So I guess it will have to completely screw up before the guys at Ford have any clue what to do...
