Thanks ranger02_4x4. Since your the only one that's actualy answered my questions instead of telling me "get this" or "get that" or look at this site bla bla bla.
I think I've made up my mind. Gonna go with the pioneer sub I posted and the pioneer amp I posted. I'll make my own box. How thick of MDF should I use, 1/2"? What all will I need too, 4ga ground wire, 4ga positive with a fuse, 10ga speaker wire and then my rca cables? Is that all I need, correct wire size ect.?

i have real experience and have warranteed more pioneers and sony's than anyone else on this board. upwards of 150-200 in the last 6 years. i have rarely had any problems with kenwood. like i said they are great budget amps that get the job done and have excellent R&D behind them. you SHOULD take advice from someone who doesnt have any brand bias like myself. if you asked me for an amp in a different cost class i would recommend the best for your dollar as well. honestly i service Dual amps less than Pioneer. that says alot. SO OBVIOUSLY I HAVE THE DAY TO DAY EXPERIENCE TO BACK UP MY CLAIMS, thank you have a nice day.

And in this threat I've been told pioneer is good enough, and they are total junk. So obviously someone's wrong here.

Around the audio shops ive hung around, they all recommend NOT buyin kenwood, as they overheat easily. I have experianced this as well.
Personally, I believe you get what you pay for. I honestly would hold off and not be limited on price.

Well, I'm not really limited on price it's just I'm savin up for a newer ranger or a new atv, I could spend a lot of money, it's just I don't want to. I'm gettin that sub no matter what because it's mounting depth, as I don't have much space for it. Haven't bought either yet so...I guess you guys can suggest some amps, under $150 with shipping.
And can someone answer my questions about the install and all that stuff I asked in my above post?

How much louder would one of those subs in 12" be than 10"? Cause the 12 can handle 100 more rms watts, but it requires a slightly bigger box. After puttin my bro's old Kenwood typhoon or somethin in his car with a ****ty box, that 12 is way louder than his 10" visonic on the same amp. So yeah...how much louder would the 12 be than the 10?

Actualy, I thought about it and decdided that I'll just go with the 10" because I would have to get a more powerful amp for the 12" and that will cost more money. And for that 12" kenwood tornado, yes it was an old ****ty tornado lol, that box was so terrible, it was a box made for 2 subs I cut in half and put and end on, the port was just where the handle WAS in the side and I took a piece of 1/8 stuff and screwed it on over the "port" lol. It leaked in a few spots too cause it wasn't glued or anything.
Oh, it was my friends car we put that sub in, not my bro's.
