Old setup ...dual head unit ...cant remember model num , soundstream dtr 1.900D , alpine front and rears (older ones) Cheap tweets, and 4 mtx 12's (Cheaper ones :P)
Amp got stolen so ...I ripped everything out and am currently making a new box for the twelves ...

New setup is ..
Sony DSX-S200X- installed and love it stick my Iphone or ipod inside it XD
MB Quart Q1.1500 D
MB Quart FX4.50
Alpines front and rear ( still the old ones) ...will have to relocate the rear ones in front since box will cover them.
cheap tweets and Boss 5 1/4 s...bosses will also be in front somewhere.
and 6 12 Mtx ( still cheap ones :P)

already upgraded my alt wires to 0 gauge welding wire..to go with my 200 amp alternator from MotorcityReman...(alt working good so far no problems here)

...and whole inside is covered with peel n stick XD !! Cheaper than dynamat and for my work truck works great.

All for cheap...In my work truck.

Simple and as cheap as I could do it:

Sony X-Plode AM/FM/CD/Changer controller. Has out for MP3 player. This deck also has a "sub-out" that I use.
Dual 4ch with built is x-over 60w/ch (?)
4x6 2 ways that I got at Walmart--60w ea
10" sub bought at, Walmart, in sealed box.120w/bridged

In my younger days....before kids.....I had the 2K+ stereo. Now, I have the kids, wife, house, phone, cable, etc. I just want something that sounds better than stock, and this fits the bill nicely. The 10 lets me enjoy Bass 305 and Cake as well as Metallica.

wow..bass 305, i haven't heard that group in yrs! takes me back awhile....

my system is stock for now, gonna upgrade to Eclipse head unit, Boston Acoustic factory replacement speakers and Eclipse amp in the future, had this setup in my '92 Ranger and it was plenty..buying everything and having it installed, I had around $800 into it and it sounded bad ***.

Decent sony head unit.

Kicker Components all around

4 guage everywhere, prolly do 0/1 eventually.

HFi1000.1D class D monoblock pushing 4 HFi12D4 12's at 2 ohms. Sealed for punch.

Everything deadend except the roof, which likes to flex. Gotta do it one day...

Running right around 600rms between all four, with the gains down low. Gonna take it down to 1 ohm and see what we can do.

My setup is laughable compared to most in this thread, but I'm not a big audiophile and I'm very happy with it.

Sony CD receiver with iPod aux jack.
Pioneer TS-A6880R 6x8 4-way front speakers
Pioneer TS-G6843R 6x8 2-way rear speakers

Sounds 10x better than the stock setup.

All Alpine for this guy

I have a type s 5x7 in each of the doors.

Gonna be pushing them with a CDE-121 head unit with KTP-445 power pack.

This weekend i'll be adding a SWS-1223D in a bassworx sealed box it will be run by a MRP-M500 with a 4 ohm load.

All of this and the nearly 100 sq.ft. of ultimate b-quiet i put in last weekend should equal a rockin system
