Road Kills FAST rings

Amazon Amazon

Installed a set of these in the front of my 2003 Mazda B3000 standard cab. I have only installed them on the front 5x7s in the door so far. What an incredible increase in sound. Very inexpensive and easy to install. Precut with adhesive. The smaller diameter goes inside the door to absorb the back wave, The second ring attaches to the back side of the speaker to isolate the metal of the speaker frame from the metal door. The larger diameter goes around the speaker face and gives you a nice foam seal to your grill in your door panel. This pushes all your sound into the cabin where it should be. The system sounded decent, even good....but these put it over the top. Just an opinion. Best $40 I have spent in awhile.

Your thread title was so cryptic. I'm glad you posted a link to the product.

They seem thick. Did you crush them down or use longer fasteners?

Sorry, I just named it what I thought people could search for to find the product. The inner part that goes inside the door fits fine with no clearance issues of the window. The second part that goes around the back of the speaker, I cut down to about an inch or so. The part that goes between the front side of the speaker and the door panel/grille, I left the original thickness because I didn't want to cut it too thin. The purpose is to funnel all the sound into the cab. If the weather is decent tomorrow, I will take a door panel off to show some pics.
