Radio Antenna Wire

Some months ago I removed my radio antenna and the base it fit in and the wire that was attached to that sort of fell back into the hole for it and I havent seen or really thought about it since then. Well 8 months later im out of CD's to listen to and I want my radio back. So I dig around under the hood for it no luck. I remove the plastic fender guard and search there also no luck so now im stuck. If anyone can tell me where I can locate it or how to get to it I would appreciate it. I have a feeling John would be my best bet on this problem since he has the most knowledge on this subject.

best place to start that search would probably be behind the glove box. You should be able to trace it to the firewall/fender from there.

Thanks Wowak I found it but I couldnt yank it back into the cab so I just cut it twisted another wire to it and solderded them together then ran that outside the cab and bingo it works again! The mods can delete this thread if they want to.

On a different note when i get a new Head unit i would like to see if I could get a hidden antenna. Are they as powerful as a normal one? Where could one be placed that you know of by any chance.

You gonna shave ur stock one off cuz ur not gonna need 2 antennas? Im sure the hidden antenna's are just as strong as the stockers. I think all they do is plug in the back of the unit and mount somewhere under the hoof of course u wont have the metal antenna all it will be is a wire.
