Which Pioneer headunit?
I am looking to buy a new headunit for my truck. Currently I have the Pioneer DEH_4700MP installed. I have an amp sub and an sirius unit connected to it. I want something newer in my truck. I want to stay with Pioneer on this one. What headunits would you guys suggest that is compatible with everything I have hooked up right now. Also I plan on running another amp to some components in the near future. All feedback is greatly appreciated.

I've got the DEH-P5000uB. So far it's been a great headunit. I think it might actually just be the newer version of what you have. Also Pioneer just came out with this years lineup. Basically add 100 to all model numbers from the previous years. So a similar headunit to mine is a DEH-P5100 or something.

I have the P5000 as well, and its been flawless. It doesnt have the pretty display like the higher end models but the functions and capabilities are the same as any of the highest models on the market.
My favorite feature is the Ipod controls. For less than $200, you cant go wrong with this unit.

The iPod controls are very nice. Super easy to use and navigate, but sometimes sluggish if you have a lot of music. I had the DEH-P4900ib right before my current 5000 and both were amazing.
Oh and I got mine on sale at Walmart. Happened to be in the right place at the right time. $100 because they weren't going to carry it anymore.

well, if you decide not to stay pioneer, this is what i have and have been VERY pleased. it also has an ipod direct cable if you ever want to hook that up, you know where you can browse artists and whatnot through the headunit, just run the wire into your glovebox and your ipod is outta the way.
you really can throw pretty much any headunit with your setup, it certainly does not all have to be the same brand, hell, i probably have 6 or 7 brands mixed into mine. its just watever works best for you.

Besides the bluetooth, there isn't much that the P700BT can do over the P5000uB.
It has the 3 pre-amp outs, built in crossover (high pass and crossover for the sub), the iPod connection (usb so other MP3 players too), a 3.5mm aux input, hi-def and sat radio ready, and the Sound Retriever (makes MP3 files sound better).
I guess it all depends on how much the OP wants to spend on a headunit.
