MB Quart

Hey guys, right now I've got a Pioneer Premier DEH-P590IB, a Kicker ZX350.4 channel amp, 4 Pioneer Premier 6x8's, and an infinity basslink. I've been having some problems with the amp and going to replace it with either an MB Quart DSC480 or a MB Quart DSC4125 amp, and 4 MB Quart 6x8 speakers(probably MB Quart DKF 168). Do you guys have any expierence with with MB Quart stuff? My brother had them in his car and I thought they were great, I was wondering what you guys thought of this new setup i might go with. Thanks. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Anybody have any expierence with these? I've also been considering JL Audios, I'm also curious about putting components in a Ranger (not sure how to go about tweeter mounting).

Personally, I would go with these. I will have a bunch of info/pictures of them up very soon also.

I've got some Infinity speakers in my Thunderbird they are the 3 way 6x9's with the crossover, I couldn't ever get them to sound as good as the plain old pioneers I had for about half the price so that has sort of turned me off to infinity.

I have mb quart speakers in the front and just removed the rear speakers. I have mine amped off a old 100watt lanzar. I like them a lot better then stock but I dont seem to get all that great of good mid bass from them. They arent the best but sound alot better then stock.

I have MB Quart 6.5" Reference components amped at 125rms each in my front doors, I absolutely love them. I have 5.25" coax's in the rear doors just for rear fill. They sound better than the stock speakers but the components absolutely kill them with sound quality. My components sound awesome for the price I paid which was about $200 or so I believe. They produce a nice amount of mid bass, and I do have my doors and entire cab sound deadened with eDead.
I also have two 12" MB Reference subs which have great sound quality.
I definitely recommend MBQuart for any speakers.

My past experiences with MB Quarts have all been wonderful. Many friends have been extremely happy with them as well. They are worth the money if you are a sound enthusiast. The sound quality is hard to beat. For subs I'm a little partial to some Audiobahn models though.

345Ranger, i'd recommend you put a set of components up front and the coax 6x8's in the back as you mentioned. Get any set of MB components, they're not going to cost that much more than a set of 6x8's and will definitely be worth the extra few bucks. Only do that if you plan on amping them sufficiently, and don't go weak with that. If you get a set of sweet comps for the front you actually don't need any rear speakers.

Thanks for the input, I think I'm going to go with components in the front and 6x8's in the back, all MB Quart. Right now I have a small Kicker amp thats good for about 50W RMS but I think im to upgrade to one of MB quarts 4 channel amps. I believe that one was around 100RMS.

I am goin to be odering these speakers tommorrow and I'm curious as to how and where you guys mounted your tweeters. Im sure I'll need to put them up on the dash/A-pillar area but I am curious what you did. Thanks.

I have mine on the top corner of the door, about 6 inches above the door speaker opening. I don't recommend it for optimal sound, because the steering wheel is in the way of the left tweeter. And also the tweeters face the center of the cab rather than the passengers.
I recommend putting them in the dash on the black, defroster trim piece, the speakers will face the windshield and deflect back. I helped rudeman85 put his in there and they sound great, he has MB premium 6.5" and sound awesome!
