I have a transmitter installed in my truck that hooks into the radio through the antenna. Once I flip the switch under the dash, the signal overpowers local stations.

I had it installed at a local audio shop. I wish I could remember the name of it. The sound quality is excellent. Its a good solution if you don't want to go aftermarket just yet.

I would go aftermarket if you've got the money, it will benefit you in the long run

I like the look of the stock stereo better than the cheap single DINs. I'll be ordering an adapter for my new/old stock stereo.

That's why I originally got the adapter, and I'd love to go double din, I just need the $$

I have that exact adapter in my Mustang, it works great. You do need to hook up a power source so it will charge the iPod but you can get that right at the 12v outlet in the bezel.

That's basically what mine does, only it hooks into the radio through the antenna, so you can't use the OEM radio to control the ipod

I installed an iSimple IS77...box hooks up between ur antenna and radio...u tune to a preset station, flip the power switch and u get ur tunes from an mp3 player or ipod. This thing charges your ipod as well...about $80 at bestbuy and installed it myself.
