Dual setup please help

Ok well im swapping out my pioneer for a new dual receiver. I had everything connected and it worked for a second....then died. It's not blowing fuses....I have two wires that aren't being used on the harness an orange one and a black one that I dont think I need. Where does this orange one connect to because the dual's wires theres no orange am I suppose to splice it in with another one? It's getting power cause I can hear the little motor in it run...but no lights or functions....please help me out

well the black one on the harness I was talking about is white/black and it use to run to this ipod adapter thing for the pioneer deck. Why do I have wires on the harness leftover for the dual? I don't understand why it worked for a second then quit. I still can't get any light on it or function other than the eject face to come down....god this is pissing me off

Check the fuse in the fuse panel as well as the one in the back of the unit. If that is not it then go back and rewire it slowly. I have been there and done that. One crossed wire and nothing works.
