Can Anyone Get Me A Good Deal?

On any kinds of amps, subs, etc...

As many of you know, my system was stolen. I am looking to build a new, better system..

Before, I had an Eclipse 15" Aluminum with a pretty good sized Eclipse amp... In a custom sealed enclosure. The sub and amp were great, the box was lame...

Anyway, I am probably looking to do two 12's this time. Prolly some 12's that will hit really hard. SQL is less important to me than SPL. I want something that resonates well enough to rattle my mom's teeth when I drive by her house...

My 15" was capable. It was also very expensive.

I am not looking to break my wallet. Just my rear window.

I'd get either two Elemental Design 13Ov.2 sub or two Resonant Engineering 12" SE subs. Don't even think about a prefab box...either build one yourself if you know how to build it to spec or have a reputable shop do it. As for the amp...Kicker, JBL, Elemental Design, MTX, Phoenix Gold, and Rockford make some nice mono amps.

Deals, sadly no, you know as much as I do about the internet's sites (ebay, ikesound.com, pricewatch). But I can help you with a new box if you want, just let me know what you want. What they may lack for in polished appearance (although I'm getting better at that, and it's nothing a layer of carpeting or rubbercoat won't hide) they do make up for it in fit and function, and indestructability.

if i were going for spl, i'd go w/ 2 12" solo-baric L7's, you will SLAM!, i had 2 8" L7's in my ranger, but one blew, so i gave the other one to my cousin and im gettin a single 10 L7 ported, ive heard it before and it is really slams for a 10, more than my 2 8"s

If I had money to burn and the ***** to buy a non-waranteed sub I'd grab the RE MT's (Those are the ones that are "so extreme we don't warantee" ones right?) I want RE's so bad

My brother was talking about selling his system. I will ask him the next time I see him.

4 Rockford Fosgate Punch Power HX2 10's (1000W RMS, 2000W Peak Each, Dual 2 ohm voice coils)

1 Rockford Fosgate bd1500.1 (750W RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms, 1500W RMS x 1 @ 2 ohms)

He was talking about selling the subs for like, $150 each, and the amp for around $400.

They need a lot of airspace, and they are extremely loud. He had all 4 tuned to 36 hertz in his trunk, and it is just too much.

I will see what he says.

Crossfire is the reigning world champ for SPL. Amps and subs. They are super high quality and very reasonably priced. One nice thing, you are buying the exact same components the competitors use; they don't have special one-offs that just have the name on them.
The Adire Audio Bramha is pricey but will knock your mom's teeth out, not just rattle them. They have a video on their website of a few of them hitting hard enough to crack the door jamb of a Chevy van...

I'm certainly no audio guru, but I know that L7's will hit so hard your head practically explodes. fastev definitely knows his stuff though, I'd listen to him if I were you.

definately go with the SoloBeric L7s. Sucks that you live in TX cuz i have a pair of 12" L7s and a Performance Teknique 2600watt amp just sitting in my room that i need to sell. SHipping is a b*tch though. But the L7s are definately the way to go

Kickers are great subs, but I guarantee a pair of Crossfire XT212's will laugh at them. They are amazing SPL subs. Like I said above though, the Adire Bramha will put them all to shame. With a good amp behind one or two, your truck wouldn't last long...

there are other sub manufactors than kickers people. i swear as soon as someone mentions " i need a sub, help" all the kicker, JL and Fosgate groupies come outta the wood work. there are TONS of other drivers that'll blow kicker away for cheaper.

Christian,

how much would u roughly like to spend?
do u want to use a ported or sealed box?
what amp are u going to use to power the sub(s)?
