Building a box for a 10 inch sub - tight fit - help
Yes I could get an 8 inch but something about having a sub smaller than my hand is not something I want. Anyway, I have a regular cab 06' XLT. From what I measured, the height up from the bottom behind the seat to the little protrusion back there is 10 1/4. Not high enough.
So 2 quick questions. 1) What is underneath the protrusion? I see metal, but I know it's not the very back of the cab.
2) Where it is kind of lifted up about 6 inches at the floor behind the seat, there's metal there too. What's underneath that? Road? Doesn't look like it but I'm just curious for some ideas.
I don't really want to have it angled up above that little protrusion 10 inches up.

Just cut that crap out of your way. Dont be scared. Do you want to boom or not?
Size comparison. The new box is on the right hand side. Both are 10'' subs.
Built to fit under the ledge for an extra inch, yes I cut out the back carpet piece.
Yes the 10'' L7 is for sale in the Kicker box. Do good.
