better than stock?

The old saying "you get what you pay for" kicks in
Walmart usually has knockoff brands or chainstore brands with high name on it so keep that in mind, but if you are not looking for much they may work, not sure if they would be much better than stock
Doesnt the ranger have 6x8's in all four corners?

I bought that EXACT system from walmart for my brother car last year. I installed it all shortly after christmas last year and have never had a problem. Sounds great for the price. The head unit is rather simple, nothing 2 fancy about it, but covers all the basics. The speakers are clear and fairly crisp. For the price it was good for my bro's car. If u have more question about it PM, i'd be glad to help.

not sure bout your ranger, but i installed the kit in a friends 93 ranger and it was better than stock. Its nothing to drool over but for less than $100 its a steal, esp if you dont have a good lil system to start with...just my opinion.

Thanks for your opinions. I hope to get this for CHRISTmas. The speakers (5.25s) not sure to install them or stay with the pioneers that are ready in the doors. As for the 6x9s I plan a box in the back of the seat. I want to off center the speakers toward the center of the 60/40 seat. Is that going to neg affect the best these speakers can sound? Also the HU claims "180 watts " How much is the stock unit?
