Antenna Mounting

I am trying to mount my CB antenna in my bed. The problem I am running into is the stupid plastic Ford bed liner that is in my way. Can I mount the antenna bracket to the liner or does the bracket need to be grounded in some fashion. Otherwise I am gonna have to cut a big hole in the liner. I didn't really wanna do that cuz in another month I am spraying my bed and thought maybe someone would want my liner. Anyone have any suggestions. Thanks a lot.

the ground is usually via the mount so it would be necessary for it to be on some unpainted metal to work best

Or you CAN run a ground wire to the mounting bracket.

I actually decided to just bust out the magnetic mount and just stick it up there for the Centralia run. It will be sufficient enough for the one weekend. Just gotta find a meter to tune it up.
