which transmission?

Been readin up on v8 swap info and wanna know which tranny to use. So what would you recommend for a 2wd street truck and has to be manual. also something practical, something i can get an old used one and rebuild.

aren't many that come in mind. Most go the automatic route. T5 is a decent one...but the shifter is way far back compaired to a stock ranger shifter. Your shifter will look like a Shelby AC Cobra's shifter.

i ran T5's in my turbo swaps. the shifter sits jus barely in front of a full bench. i ran the handles backwards and had no issues.

unless you sit close to the dash, you dont need buckets to make it work.

there are also possibilites of movin the shifter forward using s10 T5 parts. i think there is a write up on RPS someplace.....

I'll look around for one then, and I sat with my bench all the way back when i had it so it should be fine.
