Newest Ranger to recieve SB Ford?
#4
From what I understand, it is allot easier to do it on a 2003 or older. Bob was telling me that in 04 they changed the dash along with a lot of wiring, making it even farther from the old explorer. This is the reason i will not attempt a swap on mine.

Read Rwenzing's swap thread here. Check out RPS as they have a bunch of great information on V8 swaps.
Here's a great thread:
The ultimate 98+ Explorer-based 5.0 V8 swap thread.
All and all your probably not going to find a whole lot of info about it because not a lot of people are tearing apart 2 year old trucks (not saying you shouldn't, just saying most people tear apart older vehicles). So I would say if you really want to do it, just research as much as you can, find a donor vehicle (after finding about emission laws first), and just start digging in. Ask questions along the way and we'll do our best to answer.
