Hey, does anybody know about putting a 302 into an 03 or newer ranger? I have an 05 and want to do one using an explorer to donate parts.

Check your local emissions laws. If your area has any sort of testing or inspections you might be limited to what you can do.

 

From what I understand, it is allot easier to do it on a 2003 or older. Bob was telling me that in 04 they changed the dash along with a lot of wiring, making it even farther from the old explorer. This is the reason i will not attempt a swap on mine.

All and all your probably not going to find a whole lot of info about it because not a lot of people are tearing apart 2 year old trucks (not saying you shouldn't, just saying most people tear apart older vehicles). So I would say if you really want to do it, just research as much as you can, find a donor vehicle (after finding about emission laws first), and just start digging in. Ask questions along the way and we'll do our best to answer.

 

SEARCH ..thats all ya gota do is look it up, its been gone over multiple times. lots of good info in past threads
