Cleveland headed 302/347 header question.

I saw a video on youtube of a guy thrashing a 351 Cleveland powered Ranger, but no info on headers. Anyone have any ideas about headers?

Are the heads Boss 302 Heads or 351 Cleveland ?

Extra water passages in the cleveland setup create a problem for the 302/347W Blocks.

I can give you a few more specifics if you want or need them.

From my scanning of the web I have not seen any headers available for this setup except custom units.

I have an article showing how to modify the water passages, and I don't mind sharing it if anyone else needs it. The heads I am using are from a '79 F-150 (351M), same heads as a 2V 351 Cleveland. I will be using an '86 5.0 block.

That is a lot of head for the cubic inches you are talking…

Not to chg your mind but why the M heads vs the 351 Windsor which should give you approx 35 hp with new pistons ?

What will this engine be doing and what RPMs will it be running ?

What is the valve sizes in the “M” Heads ?

Remember the first Boss 302 had 2.19” intakes and it was too much valve for the street, racing it was great the Boss took on a lot and beat most of them.

Sorry for all of the questions, I am going to pull my old For dPower Kit Books and see what Ford suggested for this “M” Swap.

Hey, how’s this going ?

I pulled my old books out and the Ford Interchange Book does not suggest the mod.
It can be done with machine work but the may not justify the means.

Keeps posting info on h ow this is working, interesting mod.

DavidJoe ,
If you have a link to the article let me have it I would like to read up on it, thks.
