would this be a good donor for my truck

ok so i have a 2001 3.0 2wd with a manual transmission
and i found this truck on craigslist its a 2002 ford explorer with the 4.0 2wd with not even 100k on it the only problem i for see so far is that its an auto anybody got any input on this one

i really need a new motor becausae mine has 230,000 on it and is starting to give up im wanting to swap in the 4.0 i just didnt know if it would work with one from an expo or if i should look for a wrecked ranger

Aside from interior and the motor not much is going to work for you. If you were to go through the hassle of putting that motor in there though you had might as well get a 5.0 out of a expo.

well this is why im torn about it because it is my dd and i cant have it down for more than a week or so .........which is why im debating just rebuilding the 3.0 but i just figured for all the parts and labor of rebuilding it it may be easier to swap in a new motor ....but i really dont know and all i would be planing on using out of the expo in the link is the motor i'd probably sell off the interior parts on here lol

i think you should get a 5.0 your a 2wd truck right?

both 5.0 and 4.0 wont be a direct bolt on you might have to do some fabb'ing ( correct me if im wrong)
