What kind of PCV valve do I have?
I was thinking about replacing my PCV valve on my 2007 Ranger 4.0 4x4 so checked some parts places and some how to videos. I found where the PCV valve is but it's nothing like was shown online. It twist's a half turn to go in or out of the valve cover and connects to a 3/4" hose that goes around the back of the engine and connects to the front of the intake plenum. But the kicker is that there is a wiring connector that snaps into the PCV valve. Also all of the pictures of the PCV valves don't show any wiring plug-in built in to the PCV valve. Anyone have any ideas?

You have an electrically heated PCV Valve
They are not cheap, some listed here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175413456790
PCV Valve will get oil vapor inside so it can freeze up the valve in the winter months
Ford used 2 types of heated PCV Valves
One type had "T's" on the 2 heater hoses and smaller hoses from those "T's" that wrapped around the PCV Valve seen here: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/2W8AA...9n/s-l1600.jpg
Other type is what you have, electrically heated
Be VERY CAREFUL removing and installing these in the valve cover as the valve cover can BREAK, and because of this that valve cover is almost impossible to find now

Your right, after I posted the question I got to thinking what if so I went over to a parts site and entered 2008 ranger 4.0 and sure enough the same PCV valve Motorcraft EV261 came up. I'm guessingit may of been built closer to the 2008 model that was using that type of system. Thanks again for reply.
