Valves and pistons

Hi! I recently pulled my 03 4.0l sohc engine out to replace the timing chain cassettes. But my ? Is before i fix them and install the engine and link everything up i want to make sure i have no bent valves or anything like that. I still have the chains on and as far as i know it did not jump time but i want to be possitive i have not bent a valve or if i could have can i still replace it with engine back in?. So what would be the best and easiest way to find out? With the engine out? Any help thanks!
