Heres an update with some new parts, excuse the dirty engine bay:




I have more on order, chrome Radiator cap cover & High & low side A/C charge plug covers.

lol! i was thinking the same thing...

I used that orange foam degreaser whatever stuff in a can and it did wonders but it's still 1000x worse than that haha

Rick, that cast iron fitting under the egr cover is gonna be rusted up pretty soon. I was thinking about painting mine with caliper paint.

Thanks guys, actually Wayne its painted with High Temp BBQ Grill paint so I hope not but its got a slight brown tint to it instead of black :(

i never understood why anyone would chrome out an engine, but it does look pretty nice! Hey how did you get your yellow top to fit on the stock battery holder? My yellow top didnt fit and I kinda smashed it into the fitting =p

I bent over/down 1 end of the frame the battery fits into.

lol. ok. that makes sense. Mine is rusty and i wondered why yours wasn't. You already took care of it.

I just bought one last weekend and it had a height adaptor snapped on the top. I just thought it was a packaging deal. They didn't charge me for it but it unsnapped off the top and snapped onto the bottom of the battery. I cut out a small section on one side and viola!
