Truck is making no power, and smells like gas

Just bought this truck, my first ford. It's a 1994 ranger splash. 4.0 5 spd. Guy said it's been sitting for a year. It bogs down bad. Can't give it much gas. Could barely hit 55 mph. I changed the fuel filter figured that was the problem. Still does it. Ran some sea foam through the intake. Helped but not a lot. No check engine lights when it's running. The lights on when the key is on tho. I wasn't sure if that was a ford thing. Please help cuz it suddenly got much worse now. Can barely hit 2k rpms.

I had a 93 4.0 with similar problems. Cleaned the maf and it ran like a new truck

Best way to clean it? I've unplugged it and took a look at it and didn't look bad. But I'll try anything man.

Go to parts store and get a can of maf cleaner. Use maf cleaner only! Gumout/carb cleaner will ruin sensor. Maf sensor cleaner will also work on many other sensors

Thanks man. I'll try that in the morning. I just unplugged it and started it up to see how it ran and no difference. My buddy told me to unplug the battery see if that resets anything. So I'll see if that does anything in an hour

Unhook negative battery cable for 5 minutes then hook back up, that will reset the computer.

None of this is Ford stuff, just regular engine stuff.

You said it smells like fuel?
You could have a fuel leak and so not enough fuel pressure at the injectors.
You may need to get/rent a fuel pressure gauge to test it.
30 to 40psi is what is expected.

On the fuel rail you will find the FPR(fuel pressure regulator), it has 2 fuel lines and 1 Vacuum line, disconnect the vacuum line and check it/smell it for fuel.
If there is fuel in there then replace FPR.

Try not to use any compressed air on the maf either. If there aren't any codes then I don't really see how a computer reset would help at all. Check the coil, plugs and wires, the smell of gas might be an evap leak but I kinda doubt it.
