I know autozone sells motorcraft as well. They have their cheap brand or two, the Motorcraft's, and the Bosch's. I may have to invest in this. I have heard before that the factory coil is a little weak, especially with some miles on it. (This is supposed to contribute to the pinging some people get a bit)

when i replaced the coil pack i also replaced the brand new plugs i had in the truck....the combo of both helped. I had the stock coil pack tested and it wasn't putting out the proper voltage in one of the banks causing that plug to foul out.....that is what caused the jerking problem.....
so in shorter terms, yes it solved it.....i recommend changing out the plugs also...

This will be one of my next mods. Plugs need changing soon anyway and I need something to do over the winter to fight off the wintertime blues. If the zone sells the motorcraft I'll get them and my wires(autolite) are only a few months old so I'll just keep them. Thanks for being the guinea pig on this Mr. Jones. Since we have the same year and motor I should see similar results or better since I have much smaller tires to turn.
