Reusable Head Bolts

Normally head bolts are NOT reusable, as they are made of commercial quality. Therefore, every time that you need to remove your heads...you would need to replace the head bolts.

We now offer 10.9 grade head bolts (good for everyday, strip use) and 12.9 (for higher rpm's and boost) which are reusable and will last the lifetime of your vehicle, or be transferred to your next vehicle.

Heads bolts used to be reusable, and "those that forget the past are doomed to repeat it", lol.

If you are racing and need to pull heads often then standard bolts, or even better, studs would be the way to go.

Manufacturers switched to TTY(Torque-to-Yield) bolts because they can be torqued less, so less distortion of cylinder bores when engine is cold, and can then hold better as they stretch when engine heats up.

Regular bolts stretch as well, and over thousands of heat ups and cool downs they get fatigued and fail, TTY's won't.

I am old, so remember the days of "popped" head bolts on older engines, and breaking fatigued bolts when reusing them, that was best case, reused head bolts could "pop" on you a month after the head job, grrrrr, so standard bolts are not a Rose Garden fix, lol
