I honestly don't know. I'm sure it can be done....the flowmasters size and location of inlet and outlet is basically universal to other aftermarket mufflers. BUT...the gibson is a long skinny muffler.....so i vote no direct swap. BUT...i will say this...i'm sure it'll fit with some extra piping on the tailpipes after the muffler, the swap would be feasible.

From my understanding, the super 44 was made more so for cars, like mustangs being there is limited room, and the super 44 is smaller casing to fit better. So i say go with the super 40, si/so, si/do, doesnt matter, and have tail pipes. But honestly to get even better results with the exhaust is to run aftermarket headers, Y pipe, and the muffler and piping to get the best out of it, performance. Another option for a muffler is Cherry Bomn Vortex muffler. Has a good sound to it, and it has better flow.. Louder than the magnaflows, almost same loudness as the flows from my understanding. Im hoping to try that muffler out with my next truck im getting hopefully soon. Either way good luck with your decision and be sure to post vids my friend.

i'm swapping out my old original 40 with a new super 44 today the old one rusted off at the welds and the place welded the hanger to the side of the muffler and almost rotted threw.
i thought the 44 was soposto be smaller and thinner but its longer and the same with??? hope it still sounds the same or better i loved the sound of my truck how it was deep and loud and i'm doing it myself with clamps i hate exhaust work to fustrating gettting the pipes to fit perfect.
