When a headgasket leak occurs, the engine consumes coolant. If you don't see any running out anywhere, or a trail being left behind, your headgasket is blown.

Yes +1 ^^^

If overflow tank got full in 10 min drive then yes head gasket or cracked head
If there is white exhaust and it smells sweet then yes head gasket or cracked head

If the 4.0l OHV was overheated recently then cracked head is very possible.

Or you could have just had air in the hoses that wasn't burped out.
Top up rad, remove heater hose at firewall if coolant is not coming out add some to heater hose until it does, put heater hose back on.

leave rad cap off
Start engine
If coolant starts to come out of rad cap opening you have a head gasket or cracked head issue
