Glasspack + flowmaster 40........any sound difference
As ya know i put a glasspack on my truck a couple of months ago. Well I still had the old flowmaster 40 sitting around. So i put new 3" stainless tips on the end of in and sanded it down and repainted it with engine paint. I was wondering if i just kept the glasspack on and just put the muffler right after the glasspack. Would that be ok? Sound bad? good? I was just wondering. Its a si/do muffler and ti is dumped. The tips are about 6" long......

They usually do this on cars and SUV's. The glass pack so to speak would act somewhat like a resonator, taking away some (or all) of the interior drone. I don't know though how it would work right next to each other. Usually on the cars and SUV's the resonator is in the middle of the exhaust and the muffler is at the end....

Glasspack will make your truck sound like a Harley. Flowmaster 40 will make your truck sound like it has a 5.7L Hemi. Check out www.Exhaustsoundclips.com

Glasspacks sound more ricey and not very deep. Where as with a flomaster it doesn't sound quite like a v8, but much better.
Here is mine with a original 40 SI/DO
